Chelsea and Aaron and their absolutely beautiful wedding day will always be a favorite, and I’m so excited to share more about why! You know those people that you just instantly feel so comfortable with? That’s exactly how I felt about Chelsea and Aaron. From our initial emails, to the first time we all met in person, and to the moment I told them goodbye on their wedding night, I can honestly say that I enjoyed every. single. minute working with them. And on top of that, it just always felt so easy. That’s when you know you’ve found your people! Or, what I like to call my “dream couple”, and Chelsea and Aaron were really just that — a dream. They are incredibly kind, considerate, and fun, which made my job the easiest job in the world!
But, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention one minor (read: major) detail about their wedding. Do y’all remember Hurricane Florence and how terrible she was? Well, wouldn’t you know that Chelsea and Aaron’s original wedding date was September 15, 2018, which happened to fall on the exact weekend that Virginia was scheduled to get pummeled by this terrible storm. Due to the impending weather, and while carefully considering the safety of their wedding guests and vendors, Chelsea and Aaron had to make the incredibly difficult decision to postpone their wedding day. I will never forget how they handled that decision so calmly and with such grace. It was truly inspiring — but simultaneously heartbreaking — because as their wedding planner, all I wanted to do was fix this problem for them! But with the help of a truly remarkable team of vendors, their postponed wedding day in November was perfect and I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful and joyful day for this sweet couple. But, seriously. Their wedding really was perfect, and I think you’ll agree after you see the images below. (And on another happy note, they still got hitched on September 15th, so Flo literally couldn’t rain on their parade!)
Although it’s impossible to pick just a few favorites from their very special day, here are some of my favorite moments, details, and Harry Potter touches, all beautifully captured by Ashley Kapic Photography!
DelFosse Vineyards and Winery is such a lovely venue, and this view made a stunning backdrop for Chelsea and Aaron’s ceremony!
Love, love, love all of Chelsea’s beautiful details!
Chelsea and Aaron are big Harry Potter fans, and they found the perfect way to incorporate those details throughout their big day!
See their save-the-date? Yes, that’s Chelsea and Aaron when they played soccer together as kids! And here they are now! I can’t… that’s what rom com dreams are made of, y’all!
After all this time? Always.
Even though Pennie and Avett were unable to join in on the festivities, they were still there in spirit! (Y’all already know that as the extra dog Mama I am, I freaked when I saw these. Too cute!)
Chelsea and Aaron had the sweetest vows! There really wasn’t a dry eye in sight — including yours truly! (I know, I know… Surprise, surprise.)
Isn’t Chelsea such a stunning bride?! Love these dreamy shots!
I looooove this bridal shot! So gorgeous!
Aren’t they the cutest?!
Their bridal party and their respective Hogwarts houses!
