Taylor and Justin | A June Wedding in Lewisburg

Get ready, y’all, because this is going to be a good one! Taylor and Justin’s story sounds like it could be straight out of a movie. They dated for 10 years and first met each other as teenagers in the rodeo circuit, had crushes on each other, exchanged phone numbers, and — according to Taylor — the rest is history! And maybe my favorite part of their story (besides their wedding day, of course)? How Justin proposed! Taylor told me she had always wanted a basset hound and always wanted his name to be Bobby Ray. So, for Christmas, Justin told her that she was going to get his present early, and Taylor said she had a pretty good idea what it could be… a basset hound puppy! Taylor said when Justin gave her the puppy, he asked her to make sure he spelled Bobby Ray correctly on the dog tag. When Taylor looked at his collar, she realized it said “Taywo, will you marry me?” Isn’t that perfect?! Then it shouldn’t come as a surprise that both their horse-riding lifestyle and Taylor’s love for her pup were two major themes of their wedding day. Just wait until you see the pictures of all of the stunning western-inspired details and Taylor’s sweet pup following his Mama around on her big day. (It should come as no surprise that I love when a sweet puppy is involved in a wedding day, too!)

From the very beginning, Taylor was also so intentional about making sure her guests had a great time. She asked me to “herd the cats as best as possible” (which became the official tagline for their wedding!) and ensure that there was plenty of time for dancing and FUN. Judging by the incredible pictures I’m going to share with you, I think you’ll see that their guests did just that — they had SO much fun! And I had so much fun working with Taylor and Justin to make their wedding day everything they wanted and more!

Taylor and Justin said “I do!” on June 16, 2018 at Taylor’s family estate in Lewisburg, WV. Their wedding day was so creative and unique, and it was truly such an honor for me to be a small part of. Thank you again for everything, Taylor and Justin!

Here’s a look at just a few of my favorite moments from Taylor and Justin’s gorgeous western-inspired wedding, beautifully captured by The Oberports!

The longhorns and floral arrangements by Greenbrier Cut Flowers were some of my favorite details from the entire day!

Loved the color of the splatter ware and how they complemented the centerpieces!

Again — the longhorns and floral arrangements were out.of.this.world. AMAZING. Taylor and Justin had the awesome idea to feature their longhorns on the poles of their reception tent. They were stunning!

Insanely gorgeous ring shot! The Oberports, y’all are AWESOME.

Bobby Ray! Isn’t he the sweetest?!

A favorite of the day, for sure! Such a sweet moment between a Mama and her pup!

Taylor and Justin shared their sweet first look with Taylor’s best girls watching close by!

Adored Taylor’s pretty-in-pink and peony-filled bridal bouquet!

LOVE.

Another favorite! (Are y’all noticing a theme here? ;])

This gorgeous view is literally in Taylor’s back yard! Such a gorgeous backdrop to say “I do!”

They’re married!!!

Not only did Taylor have one gorgeous gown, she had two! She switched into this lovely dress for the reception.

They’re models, right?! A few of my favorites from their sunset portraits!

Yum. Yum. Yum! Dinner by the Dutch Haus Restaurant was great!

Aren’t these pies by Amy’s Cakes and Cones too pretty to eat?! Well, almost!

The Hackens Boys kept people on the dance floor all night!

Taylor and Justin, thank y’all again for allowing me to be a part of your absolutely beautiful wedding day! Wishing you both many, many years of love, laughter, and happily ever after.
