First thing’s first — Happy One Month Anniversary, Brittany and Grant! It’s so hard to believe it’s already a month since this incredibly special and joyful day. I remember telling Brittany and her mom, Lisa, that if I could I describe their wedding day in one word, that it would be “joyful”. The day was full of so much love, happiness, and utter joy, and it was an honor to witness the love shared between not only Brittany and Grant, but their family and friends as well. And on top of all of that, Brittany and her family are huge Disney fans (like myself), so I loved seeing all of the magic and hidden Mickeys they had sprinkled throughout their wedding!
These two and their family are so, so special to me for so many reasons! But a fun fact is that Grant, the groom, owns his own photography business (Grant Rettig Photography) and second shoots for Kathy Jennings Photography. I often assist Kathy with her weddings throughout the year, and Brittany assists Grant whenever he is second shooting with Kathy. Because of that, we’ve had the opportunity to really spend some time together throughout last year’s wedding season and it is always SO fun when the four of us are working on a wedding together! So for this reason and many more, it was such an honor to be a part of Brittany and Grant’s special day!
To the new Mr. and Mrs. Rettig, I wish you nothing but love and laughter for your happily ever after! Although I could never properly sum up how gorgeous/amazing/perfect this wedding was in a blog post, Kathy Jennings Photography sure did an amazing job (as always) by perfectly capturing Brittany and Grant’s love story and wedding! While it’s impossible to show every beautiful picture and special moment, here are just a few highlights from their big day.
Grant made these magical invitations! Aren’t they amazing? How many Hidden Mickey’s can you spot?
The gift giving between Brittany and Grant was incredible. So many thoughtful gifts, just like this video Grant made for Brittany to watch as she was getting ready! There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. (Brittany, don’t hate me for posting a picture of your happy tears! I repeatedly told her that she is the most beautiful and graceful crier I’ve ever seen. Isn’t this so precious?)
Another favorite — these Han Solo and Princess Leia quoted cuff links!
Brittany, you make an absolutely stunning bride!
I love this picture of Brittany with her sweet Momma, Lisa! SO much joy!
Another special moment — Brittany presenting a gift to her Mom.
The sweetest father/daughter first look.
More gift giving during Brittany and Grant’s secret look! Bride Mickey ears for their visit to Disney World on their honeymoon!
My favorite part of any wedding day is watching the groom’s reaction as the bride walks down the aisle. Grant definitely didn’t disappoint.
This might be my very favorite picture from the entire day. Such an incredible veil shot! Kathy Jennings Photography, you’re TOO good!
Love this picture of Grant and Brittany with their son, Brayden, AKA the “Main Man”!
Star Wars socks for the groomsmen!
The sweetest bridal party ever! (Plus, I spy three #bsebrides!)
Like I said, the Disney details for this day were incredible! I loved these signs welcoming guests into the reception.
Grant also created a custom projection for their wedding cake! Isn’t that the coolest thing ever?
Brittany, Grant, and their families were kind enough to invite us to their rehearsal dinner. So, of course, I had to snag a picture with my Brooke Shehan Events Brides! Next up: Brandi (on the right) and Brittany’s brother, Tyler! 🙂
